Firestar's Quest

Okay, this is a continuation of Earthfire's wonderful idea to do a series of reviews for the special editions and manga, so here we go!

Firestar's Quest is the well-known special edition book that was written to fill in the gap between the original Warriors series, and The New Prophecy. But this book isn't a filler, no, far from it, actually.
The book tells the story of our original hero, Firestar, and for most of us, it was a breath of fresh air to get away from Brambleclaw, Squirrelflight, and Leafpool's P.O.Vs(Point of views).
Firestar keeps receiving signs from a mysterious cat that turns out to be the leader of a forgotten Clan...

Suspense: 8/10. The suspense level was pretty high overall, sometimes peaking to on-the-edge-of-your-seat level(Sandstorm, anyone?).

Action: 7/10. The book wasn't as action-y as other Warriors books, but it had some great fights with a horde of... evil rats?

Romance: 5/10. I'm a sucker for romance(I admit it, shamelessly), but this book didn't have a whole lot, save for a confrontation with Sandstorm, who accuses Firestar of loving Spottedleaf still, and not her... but Firestar's old love life appears to Sandstorm in the cave and sorts it out.

Reveal: 10/10: Like Storm, I hate giving perfect ratings, but the book contained a lot of amazing info that fortunately didn't feel like a filler.

Jaw-drop moments: 7/10: Yeah. There were some definitely jaw-dropping moments. A whole new Clan was unravelled!

Overall score: 8/10. It was a good read, no doubt, but it gave way to a whole new hatred for Firestar. I mean, why isn't anyone else doing the crud that he does? If you don't believe me, go and look at his profile in Secrets of The Clans, and compare it to the other leader's profiles.

Until next time,
Ember

The Darkest Hour

This is the first review of Book Reviews! Even though for a first post, some people would do Into the Wild, because it's the first, I'd rather get favorites over with by doing The Darkest Hour.

So, this book features almost everything you would want in a book. Betrayal, action, suspense, surprise, action, and more action. The part that disappoints me the most is, when, one of my favorite characters, Stonefur dies. THE BOOK IS RIGGED!!!!! Just kidding. The famous second-place(battle poll) Blood Clan battle is awesome. Firestar loses a life, which is quite a bit of suspense there, Whitestorm dies(RIGGED AGAIN!!), Scrouge, I mean, Scourge dies(Hey, It's getting close to Christmas), Bone dies, and basically the battle can be summed up in one word:CARCASS. It's great for any action-lover.

So, Here's the rundown:

Suspense: 10/10. I don't like giving perfect scores, but with books that make you want to keep reading chapter after chapter, it's hard to say no!

Action: 10/10. Sweet BloodClan battle, as long as many other cool action sequences, again, it's hard to say no!

Romance: 8/10. I personally don't like romance in books, but FirestarXSandstorm is good enough for me.

Surprises: 10/10. Death of Stonefur? Death of Whitestorm? Death of Gorsepaw? Tigerstar's death?( Yes, I know that these are all deaths) Good job Vicky!

Betrayal: 7/10. Darkstripe. We all knew it.

Impression: 10/10. If this was the last Warriors book, I would be content. I would definitely reccomend this book to any person that loves suspense and action.

Total(averaged)9.5/10 Awesome Book!

So, that ends the first book reveiw. I hope that this will give you a faint idea of the book and if you should read it. See you later! -Storm
